Connecting Classrooms is a global education programme by British Council for schools. It aims to help young people develop the knowledge, skills and values to live and work in a globalised economy and become responsible global citizens. As part of the Connecting Classrooms Programme, Shiv Vani students partnered with Poongmoon School, South Korea on a project titled ‘Critical Look at Advertisement’. Students of class IX & X participated in this activity which aimed to review advertisements from across the world. At the end of a month long research on this project, students exchanged their thoughts, experience and findings. To explore the similarities and differences between our country's culture and that of our partner school, a culture box was exchanged. Students of both the schools exchanged traditional dresses of their country. To inculcate moral values and help students to become global citizens of the future, students of Junior School partnered with Nurettin Topcu School, Turkey on another project titled ‘Value Education’. Activities were planned for value based topics like respect, love, amity, tolerance and empathy.
